2026-2027 Small Library Strategic Planning Cohort

Looking for an efficient, cost-effective, and manageable way to make a strategic plan for your small library and community? WiLS has space for up to 10 libraries in the 2026-2027 Small Library Strategic Planning Cohort!

WiLS offers a cohort learning and hands-on strategic planning opportunity that helps libraries in small communities learn about their community’s needs and aspirations, and use them to craft strategic directions for the next 3-5 years. 

This cohort is available to libraries that serve a community population of around 6,000 or fewer, have a strong interest in completing a community-driven and data-informed strategic plan, and have a director who can serve as the library’s planning point person for the duration of the cohort.

Nicolet is pleased to offer member libraries two partial grants ($1000) for the 2026-2027 Strategic Planning Cohort for Small Libraries. The planning cohort will take place from October 2026 to July 2027. Please fill out the Nicolet application by Monday, June 29, 2026.

If you are interested in joining the Cohort, you must also submit the WiLS' registration form by August 31, 2026.
