Who is Singing? (by Wisconsin author Janet Halfmann)

I thought you would like to know about my picture book Who Is Singing? for ages 3-8 that released April 21. It is a celebration of birdsong and an interactive FIRST GUIDE to birds. The book provides phrases similar to common bird songs, such as the cardinal’s wheet, wheet, wheet, birdie, birdie, birdie, to help children tell who is singing.
 
The book also includes lyrical information about each bird's habitat, behaviors, etc., plus Fun Facts about Bird Sounds in the backmatter.
 
I feel this book not only makes kids feel closer to nature but gives them a sense of joy and accomplishment when they can recognize a bird song. 
 
I’m hoping you might consider Who Is Singing? for your libraries. It would be a great read-aloud for story times.

The illustrator is Chrissy Chabot and the publisher is Belle Isle Books, an imprint of Brandylane Publishing. The book is distributed by Ingram. I am an award-winning WI author of almost fifty books for children, many of them about animals and nature.
