The Nicolet Federated Library System, DBA Nicolet Library System, (Nicolet) is a state-funded organization assisting 15 member public libraries, through 43 library outlets, in providing better services to the people of northeastern Wisconsin since 1976.
Nicolet is one of 15 public library systems in the state of Wisconsin and is organized under the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Each system is governed by an independent board of trustees and funded by state aids to carry out the service requirements set forth in Chapter 43 of the Wisconsin Statutes.
Nicolet's public libraries span eight Northeast Wisconsin counties and tribal nations: Brown, Oneida, Door, Florence, Kewaunee, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, and Shawano.
